Appraisal management technology promotes USPAP, FHA compliance while maintaining lender process controls

Chapel Hill, NC –March 12, 2010 – AIMSdashboard has released the latest version of its Web-based Appraisal Independence Management System (AIMS), featuring several compliance-focused additions.  AIMS 4.4 will promote lender compliance with the appraisal independence requirements of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Mortgagee Letter 09-28, Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) and the Home Valuation Code of Conduct (HVCC).  AIMS 4.4 further automates several elements of appraisal operations, smoothing lender-appraiser interaction during appraisal production.

FHA 09-28, HVCC, Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines, Reg Z…they all have some sort of reference to Appraisal Independence. AIMS 4.3 pivots appraisal operations around the loan program to ensure lenders have greater controls at their disposal to conform to the evolving regulations and the variety of loan programs.

Appraisal Independence Management System (AIMS), a new application from AIMSdashboard, LLC, will ensure lender compliance with the appraiser selection requirements. The application generates a certificate of appraisal independence and provides auditable evidence of compliance in accordance with the Home Valuation Code of Conduct, effective May 1, 2009.
